mission of the Arroyo Colorado Audubon Society of Harlingen, Texas is to
promote an understanding of the unique and important natural habitats of the Lower Rio
Grande Valley ,
the birds and other wildlife they support, and their benefits to humans.

Field trips to out of the ordinary birding spots, many to private lands
not usually accessible by the public.
Other benefits of membership in ACAS include the quarterly Kiskadee
Newsletter mailed to your address or emailed, emailed reminders of meetings and
field trips, and listing on the website under Who We Are - or a printed copy of the ACAS Membership Directory. Meeting
birders who are of a like mind and happy to bird with you is one of the major benefits of membership.

Colorado Audubon Society meets in the Auditorium of the Harlingen
Public Library on Jefferson and 76 Drive at
6:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month, September to May. The general public is welcome free of
charge.
Field
Trips
Our organization sponsors a birding
field trip to a local Valley “hot spot” area on the Saturday following the
monthly membership meeting (Speaker Social) - September through May. Free to members,
non-members - $5.00 donation. ACAS also sponsors
guided bird walks in Ramsey Nature Park by request, email arroyocoloradoaudubon@gmail.com
