Marilyn has been re-elected in the position of Conservation Chair, she has held the position for the past two years.  A longtime resident, retired educator and wife of a popular local minister, she has the advantage of knowing many people from all walks of life in the Harlingen area.
Her goals are to encourage more volunteers to help in habitat maintenance at Hugh Ramsey Nature Park and to maintain a good communication with the City Parks Department.  Other conservation areas will be reviewed and brought to our attention by Marilyn.  She is interested in encouraging the city to set aside more city owned native habitat rather than clearing the areas.
